Bed Bugs

As I recommend the bed bug stuff you will need for treating bed bugs properly I want you to read below because this is a very in-depth thing.

You can get rid of bed bugs in a max of 4 treatments with spray and dust. I will attach a pdf prep sheet you can download for free at the bottom of this article.

I have had many years experience in dealing with these pesky critters and I know your pain, I really have seen it all when it comes to bed bugs.

Let’s get started.

The three products you will need to get started are as follows:

You will need some more items to perform this service:

Now that we have all the things we need here is the prep sheet I was telling you about. This is going to help you get your home ready for the chemical treatment.

      Chemical Mixture

  • Wearing Gloves
  • 1oz Temprid SC
  • 4ml Nygard IGR
  • 1 gallon of water ( don’t fill to the top, leave a little space for air pressure)
  • pressurize spray can

        Dust Directions

  • Wearing Gloves
  • Wearing Paper Mask
  • Take the top off the bellows duster
  • Fill the bellows duster w/ CimeXa
  • Replace the top of the bellows duster

Chemical Treatment

Now that we are ready to treat your home you need to prep the beds, upholstery, dressers, and nightstands for spraying.

You will want to spray everything that is wood inside and out. When treating mattresses (if they are worth saving) boxsprings you will want to remove the dust cover and spray underneath all of that area. Make sure to treat the perimeter of the infested rooms along all the baseboards and especially behind the headboard.

In the living space, you will want to get along the zippers of all the cushions of the couch if it is removable you will need to remove it. You can dry wash and dry the cushion covers to eliminate existing populations in those areas. The dust covers on the couches need to be taken off and treated underneath. You will need to flip the couch over to do that. Make sure to spray down in the cracks of the couches as well.

This treatment needs to be done every 2 weeks for a minimum of 3 treatments to ensure all the future eggs that hatch won’t be coming back. The treatment of bed bugs is a very thorough and strength demanding process. If you need help you might opt to have a pest company do it for you.

Dust Treatment

This treatment is done one time. Turn off all the fans in your home and the HVAC unit or swamp cooler and wearing the protective equipment listed above you will want to get underneath all the floor molding inside all the electrical outlets and light receptacles and dust all these areas thoroughly. The dust does make a big mess of your home so if the infestation is small you may opt to skip this one and just do the chemical, however, if you have a large infestation this is a pretty important step.

It is up to you to read the labels of all these products carefully before using them.
Some states/countries do not allow the purchase of these products so please be sure to follow all laws for your state and country.

Summary

I know this process works and it is a lot cheaper to do it this way than to pay someone else to do it. There is a lot of work involved in doing this but bed bugs will not just go away. It is up to you to decide what is best for you in this situation.

Thank You for reading and good luck to you!
